Graduating with Honours in Psychology from Queen’s University with a minor in Biology, she finished on the Dean's list, completing a thesis in the field of Attitudes and Persuasion. After her degree, she managed a fine-dining restaurant on the North Shore. Wanting to explore her career options, it was clear that Sales was a perfect fit. She began her Sales career with a high-tech company in the field lending to opportunities in other fields, lastly as the #1 sales representative at a auto dealership.
Nicola coached sailing at Royal Vancouver Yacht Club while at university. In her first year at Queen’s, she was on the sailing team as one of the few female skippers with Olympian Ben Remocker. Working to pay for her education, she was on the Student Council and did several hours of lab work weekly for professors in the Psychology department.
